Phentermine- Best Weight Loss Pills ever?

Still in quest to find the best weight loss pills we now look at Phentermine. Phentermine is the longest prescribed diet pill used for weight loss in this era. It claims to be very effective at increasing weight loss, particularly when combined with a healthy diet and exercise.

So what is Phentermine and does it qualify to be considered as best weight loss pills. It is a sympathomimetic amine, which is similar to an amphetamine. What this means is that it increases sympathetic drive. This is the same drive when you are working out, in a scary situation etc. Some people also call this as an "anorectic" or "anorexigenic" drug. As it is a sympathomimetic drug, Phentermine stimulates the nervous system(nerves and brain). Which results in increase of your heart rate and blood pressure and decreases your appetite. You might be wondering why does it decrease your appetite. Well ask yourself when was the last time you hungry when watching a scary movie. The answer is “never” and this is because your sympathetic drive was very high. This is what sympathomimetic do!

As any other weight loss pill, Phentermine is should be used as a short-term supplement to diet and exercise in the treatment of obesity. Other than being used as a weight loss pill (or best weight loss pills), Phentermine is also used for other medical purposes.

Donot take phentermine if you:

  1. Have heart disease or high blood pressure ;
  2. Have arteriosclerosis (hardening of the arteries);
  3. Have glaucoma;
  4. Have taken a monoamine oxidase inhibitor (MAOI) such as isocarboxazid (Marplan), tranylcypromine (Parnate), or phenelzine (Nardil) in the last 14 days; or
  5. Have a history of drug or alcohol abuse.

You should tell your doctor about other medical problems before you plan to start using this medication. These include:

  1. Problems with your thyroid,
  2. Anxiety disorder,
  3. Epilepsy or another seizure disorder, or
  4. Diabete
  5. Pregnant and/or breast feeding.

As it increases sympathetic drive, sideeffects include:

  1. restlessness or tremor,
  2. nervousness or anxiety,
  3. headache or dizziness,
  4. insomnia,
  5. dry mouth or an unpleasant taste in your mouth,
  6. diarrhea or constipation, or
  7. impotence or changes in your sex drive.

Please understand that dependency both physical and psychological is recognized risk with Phentermine (It is habit forming). Withdrawal effects may occur if you stop taking it suddenly after several weeks of continuous use.

It is important that your doctor is involved closely with you when you are taking this medicine. We do not recommend this drug for weight loss mainly because there is risk of dependency, needs close monitoring, works in one action, too many side effects etc. For this reason only we do not consider this to be among the best weight loss pills.
