Fitness is that seven letter word that deals with the ideal status of the different aspects of the human body- the physical, the mental, and the emotional. Basically, it’s the all in all state of good health. But most of the time it may only be dedicated to the physical aspect. People resort to the so called "fat burning pills" to get calm.
The popular modern day definition of it is the body’s ability to utilize capably and successfully without undue fatigue to meet work and activities. It is therefore the state of being healthy and being resistant to hypo kinetic ailments. Fitness is the capacity of the different organs of the body such as the heart, the brain, blood vessels, muscles, bones, and lungs to perform in the most favorable and advantageous competence. A bit mouthful for one single word that never had the privileged to be spelled in a spelling bee eh?
In some studies, emotional and mental health has been cited as a part of the human body’s general fitness. The three which includes physical are often presented in a triangle where all the ideals state of these sections should be balanced. One can never be considered fit if he is suffering from mental or emotional problems, even though he has the ultimate body to die for. Fitness, in some sources should be holistically put out, not just pertaining in one alone. But let us put some special treatment with the one aspect that has become so popular in our everyday lives and in which commoners and celebrities alike have spent money just so they could achieve what has been considered as ideal- the physical.
Physical Fitness, since the beginning has always been a well established goal for each and one of us, excluding those glutton leaders of the times like Nero and the Henrys of England. In Ancient Greece, it was an important theme in the formation of different sports, even leading to the worldwide celebration and honoring of the Olympics. Hercules and Achilles were the mythical epitome of the fit and the powerful if it weren’t for their own weaknesses and the fact their stories have always been pages from the books. Anyway, Fitness has become an important aspect of man’s health that several kinds of tests have been made in order to know the condition of one person when it comes to being vigorous and robust. Strength, agility, coordination, and flexibility were the main stressors of these tests. If one was able to accommodate in with flying scores, then there is absolutely no mistaking that he is indeed physically fit. In some studies, one is considered to be fit according to the way how he deals the ordinary stress of every living. His adequateness to handle complicated situations in the most level headed manner really matters.
Quality living is substantial in each and one of us. Being healthy and having a well being in the pink were always part of our coping up with the world and different complications it constantly throws upon us. But in spite of all these, fitness always keeps us going.
